Anno 1800 Production Ratio In-Game
In previous Anno games, there used be a method to figure out how many of a X/Y building you want to get close to 100% used up and also prevent over-spill. For example, one extra pig not used each hour eventually filling up your warehouse forcing you to either sell it or do something about it.

Now I can sorta of "guess" the ratio but I don't like to guess if that makes sense?

Anyway is there a good way to find out that in-game and not have to alt+tab to find some guide?

although its not immediately obvious, the game does show you the ratios. if you mouseover part of a chain you can see its production time, and all production cycles require 1 good of the required type. So if a has a raw material tha has a 1:00 production time, and a processing plant with a 0:30 processing time, and then a production plant with a 1:00 production time, you know that the chain ratio is 2:1:2 for those structures.

That is somewhat unfortunate since you can end up with something like grain/mill/bakery all having different production time. Not just from setting worker % rate but also item giving bonus effect to production.

Is there really no way to look at total good production per a hour on an island or something to that effect?

Edit: Come to think of it. It would be nice to have a statistic view where you can see how many is needed vs being produced as well.

Although its a great game there is a lack of data, that said I did read that in the upcoming free update there will be more stat screens

One of the DLC's will be a statistics building. Maybe for that exact reason.

This has been frustrating me quite a bit, as well. I appreciate that they've attempted to keep things down to simple ratios, but it's easy to miss what they are unless you're paying close attention. What passes for the game tutorial doesn't really address this.

So if I'm understanding correctly, using bread as an example, you need two wheat fields, one mill, and two bakeries. Correct?

The thing that really vexes me, though, is that as far as I can tell, nowhere in the game does it tell you what the consumption ratio is. I had to go to a wiki, for example, to find out that one bakery can feed 1100 workers. The game merely tells you that your supply is stable or not, which maybe is good enough. But still.

Soap, for example. If you simply tried to follow the ratio, you'd be producing enough soap for 4800 workers, apparently. That's a lot, and at least in my game, I imagine I'll be getting by with half that for a good while.

Not in game, but theres a calculator you can use: https://nihoel.github.io/Anno1800Calculator/

The ratios are easy enough to figure out. But as someone mentioned, the consumption amount is not as easy to figure out. I have faith it will come in an upcoming update, but it seems like an easy thing that should have been in the base game.
