Expedition Enragement

So I just got to the New World expedition, and for some reason I can't drag-drop any items to the ship I'm trying to send. It's the flagship by the way. I've tried right clicking the items, and drag-dropping, but they don't slot in. Am I missing something? Am I not allowed to use them for the campaign / first expedition?

the items will only go into the ships slots, if they're ship items. otherwise they will stay in the cargo slots.

Hmm, they're in my warehouses. I'm not trying to put timber into ship item slots if that's what you're saying. I'm talking about the items that give bonuses on expeditions, like the hand drill ...?

yes, the hand drill is for trade unions if i'm not mistaken. as it only would slot in trade unions, to utilize its expedition bonuses you can carry it in a cargo slot of the ship during an expedition.

if you hover the items, it states somewhere: item for townhall/trade union/harbor office/ship ... and obviously, the ones for ships are the only ones slotting within ships. like better sails or captains or stuff like this.
