The Sunken Treasure DLC: Expand your island with a new European session and large continental island, as you join an excentric inventor and his diving bell on a treasure hunt
So reading this, it says indeed island, not islands. Personally I would have preferred multiple islands (not just one), a map editor and a larger map as well. maybe even a start setting where you can choose how many big island there will be on a map. Right now it's always 4 larger islands, regardless of how many players are in the game.
If there is only one island and they make it full of rocks and rivers then it's no use for people who want to build a big city.
As for the editor, that is probably not the end of the world. For previous Anno versions like 1701 or 1404 editors were created by he community so maybe we get an editor anyway. There was a video on how the existing islands were designed by the programmers, maybe at some stage they provide the tool to create your own islands and import them.
