unplayable Game - DirectX Error
Hey guys,

after playing this game for 60 hours it suddenly became unplayable for me (DirectX device not found error).

I tried following:
-changing from Dx12 to Dx11
-delete engine.ini to go back to standard settings
-update graphic cards driver
-underclock / overclock GPU with MSI Afterburn
-changed TdrLevel value to 0 in windows registry
-repair game data via steam

I've got 16gb ddr4 ram, geforce gtx 1080 and an intel i7 8th gen

game is still crashing after 3-5min on a map, so i cant play it anymore. very disappointing is the communication with ubisoft.

This is a PC only game and code seems wrecked.... also there is no solution insight, last patch was 2 weeks ago and didnt adress any problems related to tech.

I really expected lil more....

With 3 players we have started to have this issue every 5 minutes the last 2 days. Every player has had the issue so its not just one of us. No on ever had the problem before, and we all 3 contacted support which was totally fkn worthless. They told us they know about the issue and are working to resolve it. WOW WHAT ♥♥♥♥♥♥ SUPPORT

I have the same problem. I will contact the Ubi support team. Looks like a Direct 12 X issue.

Ditto here. Initially, my game would only crash when leaving it idle or using alt-tab. Now it crashes seemingly randomly more often than ever. VERY FRUSTRATING!

guess there is no other option than waiting for the next patch.

FRUSTRATING is the right word.... i was able to play the game for 60 hours (direct x12) and now i've spend several hours on fixing the issue to play at least 1 hr without a bug, but that was not even possible...

tried today with the patch. still not fixed. just sad.

By me it's the same. The game is unplayable. It's a shame on Ubisoft, that they just ignore that all!

I get this alot also. To fix it for a bit its a reboot

i guess i fixed it by lowering the framerate in my graphic driver settings. it's now 60hz instead of 144hz and i could play the game like 4 hours straight (normally i had the bug appears after a few mins ingame)

The issue is that your Windows is not up to date. New versions of DirectX now comes with a new buillds. Manually update to the latest build. All DX12 games require minimum 1809 version. (year18month09).
