Orientation of buildings

I'm sure this has been brought up but I did a search and the answer did not come up. How do I change the orientation of a building when I am placing it on an island If I could just turn it side ways it would fit but the only thing I read is use the center button on your mouse. It's a wheel and it just moves the location either closer or farther away.

Check the key binding in the options menu. On a german qwertz keyboard you rotate it with ,,,,,, and .......
You can rebind that button. I bound it to qqqqq

Middle mouse button is also one usual key bind here.

for me the defaults is the , and . keys to rotate structures.
