how to delete cargo from ship?

hi, i got a lil problem: my transport ship has wood stored. but all my drop off points are full of the stuff. can i delete (throw over board or something) the excess wood? i dont know how to free up space on my ship.

while at sea right click on the cargo should be dumped

Sometimes it's simply not worth taking it to a buyer for the gold they give when you may only have a little bit clogging up a slot in your ship. Plus I've seen that most of the AI don't buy wood, it's too simple of a commodity although I have seen some early game traders that will buy it, but not sure how long they will buy it for or how they are programmed if what they request changes with each pop level increase, or from when you get a new group on your island (i.e. farmers, engineers etc), but in my current game I'm overflowing now with wood and nobody wants it, even the traders don't buy it when I mark it for sail in my harbor.

Similar to my sail industry, I've got my harbor full and have it marked to sell down to half, trader AI comes by and purchases 1 out of 500.
