Anno 1800 influence problem help!

Hi there,
Can someone help me please. I'm stuck in a big problem. BTW im playing Anno since 1999.
ok, I'm playing Anno 1800 the campaign more then 90hrs now. I love spending my time to build my city. I'm at engineers level. At the whole game i been changing the news paper I thought this is new and cool. Now, without noticing it I spend all my influence and I can't build anymore ships and I can't complete finally the mission anymore.
In the old days you could build unlimited ships and defends of course all depends how much profit you do.

Is there still any chance to get the influence back or do I need to delete the game for my hard drive and look back to the old Anno?

Hi. Influence can be gained by getting to the Investor level. The more investors you have, the more influence you gain. You can also get back any influence you invested by removing the things that take influence as up keep. The zoos and museums take up a good portion of influence. You can remove an enclosure or two to get back 10 influence a piece.

Do I will get like every hour some influence again or just ones depends how big my city will be?

Would be nice every hour!
But no for every house you upgrade to the last level you get influence

Just a quick addition - this is no new feature. Fleet and army numbers have been tied to the population like it is in Anno 1800 for a rather long time. The only new thing is the shared pool.

Unless you are playing at a high difficulty level don't waste influence on the paper. Use it for new islands and building up your zoo and museum,

I hate the paper it is a never ending interruption to my game play.
