DLC: The Better Anarchist Achievement.

If i read well, it says: Defeat Dr. Hugo Mercier without luxury needs, public services or police stations (The Anarchist). I can not advance to artisans tier because Scholl is an public service. Do i really have to do the ahievement only reaching tier 2?

"luxury need public services" as in church, members club, bank etc

Yeah, and it says i can not build them (Achievement), making it hard to progress.

I have an question. Is it public services only for luxury/happines part? (Not the public services needed to advance to next tirer).

If yes, them i only do not need to build public services for luxury/happines and police stations! Some experienced player prove this, please.

The Anarchist DLC do not work with old saves. So new game.

And with skirmish or only campaign?

I have the same question. I do not know if i should choose campaign or sandbox and them click "CONTINUE" with the exclamation point.

I am currenlty playing sandbox, not campaign. Today reached tier 4, enginners and missions that pop up are those for anarchy resident quests. I have 3/20 quests done. I do not know when anarchy arc pops up or how to beat DR. Hugo Mercier! (I have beat him in sandbox for 5000 pop win condition but achievement do not appears unlocked).

The achievement itself is kind of contradicting. It states no use of public services however the marketplace is a public service.

However you can't even have farmers without the market place.

Will yet have to see if marketplace is excluded.

Haven't built a school yet.

You must use for the farmers: marketplace, fishes and clothes, but no schaps, no pub; for the workers: sausages, bread, soap, school, but no church nor beer. For the artisans: fur clothes, cans, sewing machines, university, but no theater nor rum. For the engineers : glasses, coffee, lightbulbs, electricity but no bike, watches nor bank.

Here is a very easy method to get the achievement

Easiest way I got this achievement was to follow him to an island he is about to colonize at the very beginning but colonize it myself just before he does. Immediately declare war so you can get some free shots in from shore along with your ship and down he goes. Achievement achieved within 5 minutes of start of the game.

I just got this one and can confirm that you can build and consume luxury goods (shnapps, beer, rum, pennyfarthings, watches, etc). You cannot build luxury need buildings (pub, church, theatre, bank, club, chapel and arena) and of course the police station. Someone said on the ubi forum that the acheivement text has a typo. Instead of this: "without luxury needs, public services or police stations" it is this "without luxury need public services or police stations"
