Is there a way to sell items to other players?

my friend doesn't have sugar fertility on his new world islands and he doesn't want to settle on another island, I have an item which provides suger fertility in the trade union range and I would wan't to sell it to him. is there a way?

I'll assume you are talking about another human player as your friend.

I don't know if you can trade/sell specific items to other human players as i have never played against another human player.

However if you are not able to trade/sell it to your friend but you want to give it to your friend as a gift? Then just load the item onto one of your ships and sail to your friends ship and left click the item and it will dump it into the ocean. Your friend should be able to pick it up just like any other floating item in the water.

Or just hire a merchant boat that will go back and forward between you and your friend.
he must have sugar as buying in trade ofc.
