Game stopped launching
I bought the game on Steam the day before it launched.
I have been playing it without an issue until yesterday when i started to play but it wouldn't launch anymore. I kept getting the same error:

It is a login box with a note above where you login in saying: "Ubisoft service is currently unavailable please try again later".

I have never seen this login box since i have been playing.

Anyone else having this issue? If so is there a solution?

I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the game with the same issue.

Also i never use MOD's. So it is not that.

I had something similar where the game key could not be verified, of a game i owned for years, because the services weren't available and i had to clear Uplays cache.

I am having this issue too. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled, uninstalled Uplay and reinstalled. Installed PC updates. My graphics driver was updated, anno does not show in the graphics driver list though. Motherboard is updated.
I select play on the game and a black screen comes up and goes away after about 10 seconds, and that is all that happens, no error. Any suggestions??

Same problem, game wont start, reinstalled all and run as Admin, nothing helps? Any ideas. How do we go back a patch??

It just randomly starting working for me after a few hours. But now its asking for a CD key which it doesn't use anyway apparently. Seriously annoying.

I have the exact same issue. The game has worked fine from launch until yesterday.

To update:

My original problem has been fixed. I tried the Cache step from the first responding post but it didn't work. Also on that same page is a "Contact US" if it didn't work. So i did and i ended up opening a heat ticket and a live chat with Ubisoft Support. They walked me through a few steps and had me un-check a box at the end and it has worked fine since. even after the patch update that came out this week.

So maybe follow these same steps that i did.

I hope it works for you.

It would be very very very helpfull... even crucial if you could tell us what box to uncheck.

I did the same. The game loaded and a black screen came. Then the windows was closed and the sync windows started. After 2 to 3 seconds this window was closed.

Here are the steps Ubisoft had me take:
1. select Microsoft icon on your desktop and go to settings.
2. select network internet.
3. select Change Adapter Options mid page.
4. Right click Local Area Connections and select Properties.
5. They had me Un-check "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)

I hope this works for you as well.

Good Luck!
