Them and Us

Them and Us - An Underrated Gem?
I recently stumbled upon a hidden gem in the survival horror genre called Them and Us, and I’m honestly surprised it’s not getting the same attention as some other modern takes on classic Resident Evil-style games, like Tormented Souls. Them and Us seems to fly under the radar despite arguably being just as good, if not better, in certain aspects.

So, I wanted to start this thread to shine a spotlight on it. Have any of you played it? What did you think? And for those who haven’t, I’d highly recommend giving it a try if you’re into classic survival horror. Let’s discuss and maybe give this fantastic game the recognition it deserves!

I never figured out a way of making this fu cking cun t game run in my main monitor without giving me trouble, I can`t run it full screen, the moment I full screen-it it reverts back to my second tiny monitor that alone made me hate it instantly I tried launching as -monitor1 or 2 and what not, the way I found to run it on my main monitor was to put it on Pc screen only, then extended display mode and windows key + shift + arrow to move it to main monitor but I can only play in window mode, I tried changing displays in big picture mode and it crashed on me after I was leaving the mansion for the first time and I lost an hour of progress that alone made me very sad and unwilling to keep playing it, also the notes in this game are stupidly long to read, also it`s the only game that gives me lots of fps drops in direct x 11 mode playing it with direct x 10 runs it flawlessly and to make it even more funny it makes my second monitor color washed out for some reason it all reverts back to normal after I close the game. xD
edit: I quit when I got to the other-world this game is more gimmicky than horror, just like the first 3 Alone in the Dark games, now there's monsters I need to take down their elemental resistance so I can hit them, so not fun...

I have played it and it is very good, it has all the essence of the Resident Evil classics, my biggest problem and I think the main reason that kept many away from its launch is the inventory problem that forces the player to do backtracking that is not organic, becoming annoying having to go through an entire section just for a bandage or a main object that you could carry at the time.
Although they managed to fix that problem with a patch that enlarged the inventory with 2 slots, but the damage had already been done and that addition wasn't much help either.
Even so, I recommend it to anyone who likes the classics Resident Evil and Silent Hill.

The thing is that these Indie survival horror devs have this horrible habit of making their game hard because they think that will be good enough to appeal to classic resident evil fans, except everything hard about resident evil had more to do with technical limitations.

Also, Unreal Engine 3 in 2020...? I don't know.

That problem goes away quite quickly when you can zap dropped items directly to the Knicker-Knock Box.
