Stuck in the kitchen in the boat house

[Level 5 virus]

After leaving the kitchen for the first time, I went back in to explore and now can't seem to find a way out. The original way out is covered by a spider's web and I can't seem to find any exits. No way to fast travel or start at my hive.

Am I missing something, is there a way to start at my hive?

There's a vent on the floor that leads outside

Talk to the fly if you haven't already, otherwise the exit is located in the left corner under the entrance.

I take it you both are talking about the vent, to which I can't go into it. There's a spider web blocking the vent.

This is after I talked to the fly, few around the kitchen, and then left through the vent.
I decided to go back in after I left, and now there is no way out, least, not through the vent. Don't see any flies to talk to anymore.

I've gone back after 2 or 3 times and there's never been a web for me. Did you complete the story mission it's linked to before re-entering?

Nope....
Right after the fly shows you the exit, I went back in through the air vent cause I wanted to check it out more. So didn't finish the rest of the mission, which is probably why I can't fast travel either.

Sounds like for some reason I hard locked my save file, now stuck in the kitchen with the only way out blocked by a spider's web. Welp, 6 hours down the drain.

If nothing else, if you beat the main story you should have a fast travel option now.

Certain objectives prohibit the use of fast travel. This mission in particular has an event happen on the way back to the hive.

He said he finished the kitchen once and went back so I don't think that's the issues since it sounds like he already finished the mission. Though rereading the original post he said he couldn't fast travel already so what I said was worthless either way.

No, he said that he exited the kitchen, but didn't finish the mission before going back in.

Yeah, as hyper just said, I never "finished" the mission. The mission was still on going when I went back into the kitchen. But it looks like you found that out mid comment

Now there is no NPC fly to talk to, nor can I go out the vent he showed me cause there is a huge spider web there.
Kinda dumb that you hard lock the game if you were curious about exploring the kitchen more before finishing the mission. :/

Have you tried flying into the spider web, and win the mini-game
