Accidentally deleted save :<

So apparently when it's tabbed out on the title screen it still tracks your key inputs if, say, you're typing in discord, so now I have to start over from scratch, is there a backup of the saves anywhere that I can restore it from at all?

It is into Documents\Cat Quest II folder. If you deleted your save from in-game, the .dat.bak should be still there, remove the .bak from the file and your save is back (maybe a bit before you saved last time but better than nothing).

Make a backup of the whole folder in any case before to proceed, safety first ; )

Unfortunately it appears to have overwritten the backup, probably because I was flailing around in a panic and restarting the game and file trying to figure out what happened. Thanks for the quick response at least DX

I was like two or three missions from beating it too. Guess I'm doing a new game minus :V

That is a shame : ( But if you are going for maxing everything, quickly complete the main story quest then start Mew Game and never be back to "New Game" ; )
