The Mew World update is here!

This update is MASSIVE, and we've tried our best to squash every bug we can find, but if you all find any other bugs when the update goes live on 8/8, purr-lease let us know in this thread!
(We'll be monitoring this like a hawk!)

How do I know if I have the update?

Version number 1.5.3 is correct.
To be sure, right click Cat Quest 2 in your Steam library > Properties > Local FIles tab

Check the version number there, it should be 5387272.

MEW GAME isn't unlocking

Mew Game only unlocks after completing the game once.
If you are patching from version 1.0, you will need to load your save and complete the Epilogue again. This will unlock both New Game+ and Mew Game!

How do I complete Mew Game with all 8 meowdifiers?

This challenge is only possible once you unlock Mew Game+.
To unlock MG+, complete Mew Game once.

Sadly the games keep crashing for me too. :( It will last up to 10 minutes before crashing. I've checked C:\Users\Username\Documents\Cat Quest II and there are no log files there.

This is a first play through.

There will be no way to disable the 2nd character as the 2nd character is vital to the story.

Yes, the roll-attack(called Pawer Roll) is unlocked in the story after earning your first Kingshard.
These abilities are called Royal Arts, and you learn a number of them as the story progresses.

Searching for this (C:\Users\Username\Documents\Cat Quest II) will not result in anything because 'Users' and 'Username' are just generic terms we're using.

Hmmm, if there really no crash logs, this might mean that its not a crash from the game itself, and could be an issue with your computer.
May we know your computer spec?

The crash dumps are not in my documents folder. :)

But I found the log files and the log files have listed the location of the crash dumps as here:-
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Temp\The Gentlebros Pte. Ltd_\Cat Quest II\Crashes\

So I now have the Crash dumps :)

So i bought the Switch version yesterday and there appears to be a bug when you equip the statue head and armor (the one that has high armor value and -15% health). When both are equipped, it bugs the health value and you become invincible, like complete God mode. Everything hits you for a value of 1 and your health bar never goes down. Needless to say, it's game breaking and trivializes the rest of the game once obtained.

Thank you for reporting this! We are aware of this bug and have already fixed it! :)
The patch is already out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One(very soon!). Due to Nintendo and iOS needing more stringent measures, we are still waiting for the patches to go live on those platforms.

We will update that post with the state of the Nintendo patch as soon as we have more info.
As of now, the patch has already been submitted, and its completely out of our hands. We're just waiting for Nintendo to approve the patch so we can submit it. :(

We are hugely sorry for this bug, but in the meantime we ask that Switch players avoid using the Old Master set and the Mewlder Wand, as these items contain the health debuff passive(which is the bugged passive causing this issue!)

In the side quest "the powerful one" in mew game the game will "softlock" once the dragons dialogue comes up the second time all inputs on the game stop working, keyboard or controller. it happens to both players and the only way i have been able to get out of it is to alt + F4 out of the game. This happens on both of my runs of mew game and i have tried running the check on the game files and it finds nothing wrong.

The latest update came through and did fix the issue. my internet is not the best and will not show updates every now and then. thank you

game becomes laggy. I save midquest. exit game to take a break. I resume the game. The game is now laggy. I finished the quest. restart but still laggy. restart again and the lag is gone.

We are working on a fix for some crashes other players have reported, and that fix might also solve this issue! We will let you know once the patch goes live! Thank you!

I noticed a post on Aug 12 saying you guys fixed the bug with the "powerful one quest"

Will we be seeing a similar fix for the switch version of the game soon? I noticed we got a patch that fixed the negative health equipment but I'm guessing that is a separate one? I'd love to know so I can decide whether or not to finish my first run of the mew game mode.
