I don't understand the numbers on support spells.
Damage spells seem simple, they do the damage they say, which as far as I can figure is whatever modifier it shows at the mage tower modifying your magic stat. Cool.

The problem is the spells that aren't for damage that I have so far. Taking your magic and modifying it by the number shown in the mage tower looks like it gets you what's on the stats screen, but that's not what I'm getting when I'm actually casting them, or anything like them.

I tweaked my gear so that I have exactly 200 magic on my dog and 150 on my cat, for easy testing purposes. Both spells are level 2, which means "+30%" for Healpaw and "+6%" for Manapaw. Both of these track with what's on the stats screen when assigning spells.

If my dog casts Healpaw I get 59 HP per pulse, which is almost that 60 number shown, but if my cat casts it I get 52 per pulse, which isn't even close to the 45 shown.

What confuses me even more is Manapaw. Casting it with either gets 6 MP back at the end of the cast, which doesn't match the 12 on my dog or the 9 on my cat. At first I thought the number shown might be it being split between the two, but that doesn't track for my cat's 9.

Purrserk isn't matching anything I can make sense of either. Value shown for dog is 110, but casting with dog and swapping to cat (with a melee weapon) and 140 attack (and dealing 140 damage normally) hit things ends up doing 217, which is +77. At first I thought cat only get his magic value as a bonus, but his displayed bonus is +70 (cat only has 129 magic here, had to change weapon and don't have anything for a nice round number). If I cast with cat I again get that same +77 value without changing magic.

Testing values on Furry Armor is kind of a pain, so I'm not going to do that (at least at this minute), but I can say that at this point I don't have any idea what kind of numbers I'd get out of it.

So yeah, I'm super, super confused. High magic shows a higher number for Manapaw and Purrserk, but doesn't appear to actually help the effect, and raising it for Healpaw only seems to help marginally despite what's shown.

Addendum:

Magic+% effects don't seem to work on Healpaw at all.

Gravi-ruff has a number by it that I have absolutely zero idea what does, nor do I have any idea what leveling the spell up does.

We're working on making the values make more sense! Stay tuned for an update coming soon! :)
