But in the meantime, we've heard from some players that using Parsec works! :)
My only gripe about it in the whole experience was that it seemed far too easy to get well ahead of the challenge level. The beginning had really good pacing as far as gaining experience and gold proportionate to managing your upgrades, but once I got to the second tomb I found myself at least twenty levels ahead of everything. At end game I was at 104 and I think I may have gained two more level before I got the final (fashionista) achievement (how I missed a chest in the middle of the sodding map is beyond me...)
The issue with open world games is that because of the vast amount of side content you can do, its very easy to have players with large difference in power level. During our testing, we found that most people ended up at just the right level, or below, so I think maybe you might just be a good player! XD
(Did you do alot of sidequests?)
in reply to 2. "2. The game supports win7. Your CPU should be fine"
I assume you arent refering to the fact that win7 will run it on a i9700K ? cause from what i read, win 7 doesn't have official support from Microsoft for the new hardware, i know some users managed to do it but it is not official patch, Win 7 can't use new hardware , because of lack of drivers/updates Microsoft will not offer ( talking about the normal license and not the companies , maybe they can somehow get new hardware to run officially by paying lots of extra $)
1. A UI option to auto-sort gear by level and/or effectiveness.
2. Maybe some kind of infinite, randomly generated dungeon to make it easier to grab chests w/out going through NG+.
I just started playing so apologies if either is in the game, current,y. If so, I haven't noticed.
1. Noted. :)
2. Yep, this will be the Infinity Dungeon DLC!
you can make 1 big continent in 3 parts of the game and choose 2 characters between many. maybe add people.
Firstly, congrats to Gentlebros team. It’s nice to see games like these: I loved the touch from the past, the amazing art (great music and cute graphic style), the particular humor, and the focus on funny and children-friendly content. Also, thanks for the localization to other languages (something a lot of indie developers don’t consider). I’m very happy with Cat Quest II in particular because it’s the kind of game I can play together with my godson; he’s starting to play games with me in coop like Wii’s Kirby games and he loves it. A game like Cat Quest II is just what I was looking for. You can count with my purchase of Cat Quest III.
Bugs: I didn’t notice any major bugs or crashes. Only an annoying issue happened to me twice or thrice in my first run: suddenly a depleted enemy’s health-bar was set above my character’s head for no reason; going back to main menu and reloading was enough to make that bar disappear.
If you accept suggestions/comments about the game, I have some:
These are all great criticisms, and we agree with most of them. Sometimes in game development, we run out of time, or some ideas don't come to fruition fully.
For example, we had intended something else for water walking initially, but when it came to actually making it, we ran into technical issues and had to cut the idea. This is why there are no enemies on the water. Instead, we tried to add collectibles and treasure chests in the water for people to explore and find. Not the best alternative, but it was all we could do in the time we had.
Also to your question regarding the timeline. It's explained early in the game that Kit Cat and Hotto Doggo were already there during the era of the First Kings. They forged the Kingsblade. This hints to the fact they are very, very, very old. Maybe even immortal(Kit even makes a comment about how Kirry should stop talking if not people would know how old she really is). This is why they are able to outlive the Governor and still look more or less the same after so long. As to why they are this way, we plan to explore this in DLC or future games. :)
I wanted to know if there was any way to change the save file location. Is it possible to put it in the folder with the Cat quest 2 game files or put it somewhere else?
