Hunt a deer and deliver the carcass to the butcher

114 game days. In 114 days I haven’t met a single deer. Just bears, chickens and bandits with zombies. After the last update, the quest is, “bring a deer.” Is this a joke?

In my current game only place I have found a deer is around the greenhouses near the school. Usually in the vicinity where the wrecked SUV is. May be other places, like around Ranger stations; but I don't spend too much time in those areas.
