It's a survival game... almost boring by definition. It's called daily life and it's monotonous AF.
The "loot" which you keep talking about is what you need to get started on a self sustaining daily life of hunting, scavenging and searching out resources you have not exhausted yet. Not for you to run around and have an endless amount of everything, if this is what you want just use the dev console and cheat your way into whatever kingdom you wish.
