Gas Stove
How do I place the Gas Stove? I have 3 stoves. a few coffee pots, a lot of coffee. But I can not figure out how to place the stove on a table or kitchen counter. I see no "Carry" and trying random drops near table does not work. Thanks

Drop it on the floor and take it with F. Then you can put it on a table or wherever you want, like all the other staff that you can carry.

I thought I tried that and only saw choices for changing from Coffee pot to Grinder. I'll look again and hopefully I am just confused. Thanks for your quick response. I appreciate it.

The stove has 4 interactions:
-loot
-carry
-change item ontop of it
-open cover for canister
With the carry + place you can drop it on any visible surface. Then open cover + load canister and done.

It worked. I did see the Coffee Pot to Grinder, but with a little more moving of the mouse, the Carry command came up. Thanks.

Would love it if anyone here could answer question about the Generator I built. I placed it in the upstairs bathroom of the white house. The outside generator kept stealing my fuel when turned off and I'd log off. It always registers 0 fuel when I'd log back on. Anyway the Genny I built has fuel, starts up, yet none of the over head lights, or lamps will turn on. I get message "NO Power" i have one lamp very close to Genny and it still resisters "No Power" Does built Genny not power the house? Thanks again.

I don't think it does, Exact same thing for me as it's doing for you. The lights you can build they work with the built gen. But again it sucks a tad bit. Also cabins don't have lights either, wish he could fix all that.

So what is the portable Built Genny used for? Thanks for responding

The big generators on the bases only work the house lights or lamps you find in the game. The generator you build works with all the things you build. Lamp post, flood light. Small fridge, large fridge and the wall lights from the workbench.

as a small test build a small wall light found in I think the normal crafting menu and place it within the range of your built generator. It should switch on.

Until the outside house generators fuel thing gets fixed the fixed house lights feel unusable.

Oh, and the best way to switch on or off the items that you build, go to the generator and E to interact with it. scroll the menu of things in range and turn the on or off. Some of the items do not turn on correctly. Looking at you silly wall mounted lights from the workbench...

Toward the default lights, there could be always that powerbox in every building and placing a link from a created generator to that box to power the house. Just an idea that could feel realistic. If no linkage could be possible, coding related, just making the generator with power delivering AoE that could affect the said powerbox.

Good idea, but that would mean the load on the generator would possibly be very heavy, as each item has a set draw. If you make a whole house set to it, what would the draw rate be? For example the white house, I think 12 wall switches each drawing 50, and there are lets call it 30 additional possible lamps at 50 each, so set the "house" draw at 3100 watts? That is overload before you add anything you build yourself. Or would it have this massive list of each room switch, and every possible lamp "in range"? Mind you I would rather have lamps with the option to be used with either the House generator, or the built one. I mean those nice small lamps that are in the game are great for table decorations, but that may put them out of range of the house generator. and in cases of a scratch built base, not usable at all.

OR would there be a new generator that costs a bit more with double the output? Then it could have one setting called "House" that powers a base (Claimed or Unclaimed) within range and powers any other items, including lamps, in range? This would prevent building 2 separate generators and "linking" them.
