Hope and disillusion ("Cabinet A" placement bug)
Hello.

It's been a while since I've come back to this game, let alone watch the news about it. I love this game, the concept, the theme, the content, the ideas, but it has to be said that the logistics remain the developer's weak point...
More than 570 hours of games and 1 year of absence, There are a lot of ideas on the table, but not much on the games... I find myself crafting a "cabinet A" to realize that I don't can not place it as I want, while it worked before ... Already only storage levels, apart from having lockers everywhere, it's not crazy, but if in addition the little thing we bug.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not here as a hater, but I've seen this game made, unmade, remade, and remade for years, and nothing really changed. It's like the dishes, if you don't wash day to day, it piles up, and you end up with a mountain of junk... And the workload is multiplied by 10.
It's really great and innovative the ideas of this game, but there are too many things at once, and to scatter, nothing advances, and it's a shame. And we end up with a mountain of fixes that slowed down the updates, and bugs that didn't exist that appeared and bugs present for 3 years are still present while new things appear... Of course, I know that the game is in alpha, and that it is in WIP, but what I denounce is that what was good becomes bad. It ruins all the news unfortunately, we are only consumers after all.

In short, all this to point out that the placement of "cabinet A" is buggy, when you are in the process of moving it, it is in one direction, when you put it down, it goes in another, suddenly impossible to stick it to one wall or align it.

Thank you for the work anyway, on paper, this game is incredible =)

PS: Thanks to ICEBREAKER for his tweak that rocks, just awesome.

In fact, it's simpler than that. the "real" position is when the cabinet is moved. Just select it, place it as you want, where you want it, against a wall or anything else, in the direction you want (you're still in "move" mode), then put it down. . it will glitch in the wall or the decor since it will make its 1/4 turn, save, disconnect, and when you reconnect, the cabinet is in the desired direction. It's boring to always do the manipulation, but it's the only solution to have the cabinet as you want.

PS: It's the same for the green cabinet.

WHAT, WHAAT, WHAAAAAAAAATT!? OMG!!!! :-O

OK!!! I'm going to try this as soon as I get back from my local quickie mart... Erm, but that was a nice discovery! I tried for a couple of hours yesterday to figure something out, even tried starting a new game but apparently you got it, NICE! Let's hope it will consistently work for the rest of us.

And so, apparently it's important you don't close the entire game but immediately reaload back in from the main menu and... To quote Todd Howard: "It just works".

MERCI !!! Thank you, sir! IT JUST WORKS!

So, it seems that it doesn't matter whether I save and exit to menu or desktop, this trick seems to work the same regardless and it even works when you close the game after fixing it and reload the same save again - NICE! Thanks for this, dude! BIEN Over Kill!

There is nothing ^^
And yes I forgot to specify that the positioning is permanent.
As I hate having lockers everywhere, and I like RP, making it pretty and aesthetic, I tried to understand the bug in question. I very quickly understood that it was linked to the new green cabinet. I had placed it in my cart, and following a disconnection, it was put in another position, it didn't take me long to understand that the 1/4 turn is a kind of false bug if you can called like that ^^
It's like the positioning bug after the selection or the placement of the stairs, which then allows you to build everything by glitching, that's how I could see walls and a lower door (too high for my taste).
