Mist Survival

To the developers, "What are you doing with the game?"
The worst thing that can happen when you believe in a project and you buy a key to support it, is to feel that development is going backwards, I'll explain, I've always supported several early access games, one of which for me is the best from early access and Satisfactory, as the development of this game is spectacular, they release an update it is playable and with few bugs, they put it in the base game, keep the development in experimental mode, you can use your save to start on experimental mode, make all the progress in it, when they release the new updates, you use your same save and continue where you left off in the game's standard mode, without removing anything, everything as it was done and created in the game is there, already the Mist , and a new update is released, and when you enter the game, you ask yourself, where is this or that, put more NPCs, the action decreases, removes parts of the city instead of reformulating it, in an experimental mode and then lan dude, they don't take everything out, they put something half-assed, and play that ae, that's what has happened with Scum and other games that are going to the hole, why aren't they able to manage development, learn, take a look at Satisfactory, and see how a game is developed by putting it as early access, since I play the game I have never seen it with Neutrous or negative comments...!
I don't know if this notice makes it more frustrating, but the game is developed by 4 people lol!

..... the developer is doing just fine with the game, a bit slow, but just fine and does not need your input .....

Is the developer okay with the game?
Yes, as long as there are still people who buy it!
But most of the community is not doing well,
because new cards are constantly coming, new content is being added,
but the old buds remain. The NPCs have been junk for ages.
The main thing, it increased the bust size of female NPCs.
I can do without that. Rachel has been wearing 3 or 4 versions
the gun between your feet.
The developer himself said that he has to fix over 1000 (one thousand) bugs. So why is he bringing new maps and content guaranteed to cause more bugs instead of digging into the bugs and fixing them one by one.
Isn't he able to? Then he should get people who can do it. The money he earns is probably more important to him than the quality of the game. Why isn't he listening and communicating with the community? Doesn't he care?

It is undeniable that the developer is sorely lacking in communication on the oldest bugs in any case. Its patchnotes are written in a hurry and do not reflect everything that is done in an update and what remains to be done, so that sometimes when something works or works again we don't know if it is by chance or if it has actually been fixed, even more so if something works partially or intermittently like the chicken coop or the animal traps. We have learned more about his illness when it is personal than about the why and how of the NPCs who have always been buggy for ages.

I myself have been sick and 70% invalid for several years now so I understand very well that health is the most important thing and that the game doesn't really matter. However, the Dev. could take a few minutes to explain a little more precisely his view on the game and his real intention on the oldest bugs. If we love the game we can hear everything, if we don't like it we can play something else, but if we don't know what to think anymore, what should we conclude ? Scam ? Incompetence ? Not healthy enough to continue correctly the game ? Other things ?

We often hear that we are in early access but this is not a valid argument for me. First of all, early access is there to do tests and fix what doesn't work no matter how long it takes and not leave bugs "abandoned" despite the multiple feedback from the community . Then, there are enough early access (and indie) games to see that while there are some real horrors, the vast majority of games don't have as many issues (bugs and other approximations) as MistSurvival.

For me, but it's only my opinion, early access doesn't excuse anything and that's why I keep a negative opinion on the game for the moment. I even think that version 0.5 is much worse than version 0.4, which I had validated in positive opinion when there were already a lot of bugs at the time, but the game was of much better quality... I think.

Darek871, well said, i applaud you. Very concise and educated. Well thought out and conveyed. Agree or disagree, you have my respect.

I've always been of the opinion that EA is just a way for the new dev(s) to hammer out bugs and ideas for future development while also bringing some cash flow to advance said future development and bug fixes. I am satisfied when I see these dev(s) fixing as many bugs as they can and they communicate in a reasonable way and timeframe.

But I was never the type to buy into EA games because I have seen too much disappointment and money grabs degrade into abandonware, but kind of changed my views on it when understanding that if I were in their shoes (wouldn't mind finally making a game myself) and trying to legit build a game on a seriously low budget, any income from the game would be EXTREMELY helpful in seeing this game to full release and having happy players. So I chose Astroneer, MistSurvival and Satisfactory. Astroneer has gone 1.0 and Satisfactory is inching close to 1.0. Mist however seems to be one of those that is coming back to bite me for supporting what I am more and more seeing as a money grab.

MS is the ONLY apocalyptical survival game I play cause I am just not really into this type of game, but I do enjoy this one for what ever reasons. This game though is just stuck in a never ending cycle of map changes, bugged out updates and very simple spelling and HUD errors that could be fixed in a matter of hours yet still remain after all these years. I've tried to defend this game while also acknowledging it's faults and lack of legit progress and it's annoying that the dev does SO little to listen to players or participate in some of the more legit conversations and gripes. I get it that so many players gripe and want the game changed to suit them which I would ignore too. This is my game and while I may make some changes for the players sake, this is my game and I will build it my way. Tough luck if you don't get special treatment when you whine and cry trying to make the game easier for YOU. But, there has to be better communication than this. That is unacceptable in my book.

Would many of you be too upset if the game only got 2, maybe 3 updates a year but those updates contained great new content and a good amount of bug fixes from the previous update? Even a few hotfixes for serious bugs from a brand new update is acceptable in my book. Instead we get what I would consider unnecessary map and environmental changes and a ton of new bugs.

I keep coming back to the game to check it's pulse, never quite sure if it's dead or not. It has so much potential but it feels like the dev is just burnt out on it. I could be wrong and he's working his tail off on it getting the bugs fixed for a patch and working out new map areas but it just feels like he's lost his thunder. Kinda difficult to maintain one's optimism when the game appears to be lights on but nobody home. Guess I'll check back in another month... or two.

Perfect, that's what I'm talking about, it seems that development is going backwards, I think I should keep what was working and make new additions in an experimental version to choose from in the options before loading, I'm complaining, because I saw a huge potential of this game being treated anyway!
