Body armor

Hi, does anyone know if the body armor re-spawns, and if so, where is it found? I picked it up on the highway road block, but have been back there many times since and have not found any. It really helps against the sniper bandits.

Whilst I don't think the vests and SWAT helmets respawn, you can find them in a few places. One such place is at the top of the water tower near the motel (SWAT helmet on the right-side one). Also, on the way to the roadblock, there is usually a ballistic vest on the water tower near the house on the hill.

Check behind locked doors in houses and in bandit camps (bring a crowbar) as well to find more armour.

One of the cabins by the white house sometimes has a vest or helmet too.

100% riot helmet at the bandit camp in front of the motel also there used to be 1 that spawned at the top of the water tower near the farm opposite the big silo's. I don't use the body armours or helmets accept for decoration/props at my base lol in current game state they are just not needed.
If you are having trouble with the snipers you could try night raiding the bandits it's a tactic thats always worked for me for over 300hrs play and i have never been killed by a sniper or even so much as shot at lol this game seems to reward stealth and tactics whilst heavily punishing those that choose brute force with quick deaths lol :)

Vests are in the car respawn table. save + reload and loot the cars you have looted.

I have never found a vest in the cars, is this something new?

170 hours played in total. New start as at 0.2.0. I don't recall finding any body armour in any of the cars.

No probs :) if you go night raiding stick to the tree's and the shadows as you move around the base and use the longbow with hunting arrows :) if you're really stealthy you can take out every bandit without getting seen at all just look for their torch lights to see where they are :)

final note if you fire an arrow at a metal object i.e car, fire barral or something any bandits in hear shot an ear symbol appears above there head and they will go investigate the noise where you fired the arrow then you can just put another arrow in the back of their head whilst they are stood looking around :)

yeah found 1 armour and 1 helmet in a car boot on day 5 of a fresh start (0.2.1) but only once and not found any in cars since lol so must be a really really slim drop chance lol

^One question about night raids, though: don't random Infected spawn and wander around after dark (similar to mist events)? The in-game text implies that this is the case.

only place i have found infected during the night is in the big town in the NE of the map :) gave me a damn near heart attack 1 night i ran round a corner into 5 of them that spotted me straight away lol not been upto the town since 0.2.0 release been busy in the mine and i hear its not worth going there anymore so couldn't say if its still the same :)

I so wish game devs wouldn't rely on the discord so much lol i have seen so many games get ruined because the discord pop voted stuff in :( discord seems to be full of kids that want everything too easy in games lol and if you counter there plea's with valid this will make the game too easy comments you just get attacked by swarms who can't be bothered to learn to play a game lol

okay i admit after just checking out the mist discord it don't seem as bad as the one's for other games :) there's some good ideas being voted on :) some i think are pointless like maggots for a food source lol WTF lmao just why why why? lmao

Must admit this games discord is my first experience of it. So far I seem to be voting in line with the vast majority.

Regarding the easiness of the game as it stands I totally agree - might as well call it Mist Supermarket Sweep and get a Dale Winton sound alike to do the voice acting congratulating you as you pick up more cans of beef and fruit from your daily car boot run.
