How do you repair weapons at the blacksmith?

It looks like the blacksmith is a 3 in 1 workstation from the description, can I repair there? Also is it better to make the 3 crafting stations separate ?

You repair weapons at the repairbench which you have to build, but unless he has fixed it, is is cheaper just to build a new one.

its sorta a trade of tape for other items to repair, if you collect as much tape as I do, I would rather repair, but early on I don't bother repairing

Forgot I made this, put up screenshots to compare build and repair at the same time, and like I said only late game when I am overflowing on tape do I even bother repairing.

To repair the Bow it takes 8 lashings and to build a new one it only takes 4. I guess math wasn't required when that was thought of !!!
