Does the game get you sick/dizzy? Does looking around and moving just feel off and amplified?
Hi all. God I want to play this game, it seems like it would be great fun. Yet, when I try, I get ill fast.

I have played FPS for 30 years. I never get sick or have motion bother me, ever. This is the first game I have experienced this in. I just can't get past 5 minutes of it before my eyes bug out.

It just seems like you are zoomed in to far or something. Instead of your head moving, its like the World moves instead. Does anyone else feel this?

I played around with settings but there isn't much there. Maybe the FoV could go to 120 instead of maxing at 90?

Thanks for any input.

I have over 400 hrs playing and have not experienced anything like that. I play a lot of FPS and third person games also.

Try this...

Go to C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Local\MistSurvival\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and open the engine.ini file with wordpad.

Add this at the end:[/script/engine.localplayer]
AspectRatioAxisConstraint=AspectRatio_MaintainYFOV

then save the file, right click the file, properties and check read-only.

Then in the game you should be able to still manually adjust FOV but should be better for widescreens.

Not sure if you are have motion blur on or off but turning it off has helped others as well with same issue.

I have motion blur off. I play triple screen on 55" monitors, 7680x1440 so the motion is quite amplified. I don't know what it is but it just doesn't feel like any other FP game. I'll try and struggle thru it. Maybe I'll get used to it.

Going to sound like a daft question but have you turned off head bobbing in the options menu?

Not being sarcastic at all ( for once ) when I say this, it's just a thought, but maybe you have too much screen to be watching....how far away from the monitors do you play ? That's a lot of area to be trying to cover...

I'm using a 60" TV instead of monitor sitting on my couch about 2 meters away no problem with dizziness or any other negative effects.

Trying to wrap my head around trying to play on 3 separate 55' monitors but people have had issues with using other aspect ratios, only ever used 16:9 and never had any issue. Playing on Fullscreen for me isn't an option the game looks real grainy and I have to play in Windowed Fullscreen.

No probs here 1920x1040 max settings and like said before try one monoter and turn off head bobbing

It's not my monitors or how close I play. Been doing it for years in tons of games. I just can't place it. It seems like I am so zoomed in to the detail around me that it bugs me out. It could be the FoV. It must be just me since no one else has mentioned anything. And yes I do have the bobbing hear off as well. Going to log in again and try some more. Maybe if I can break thru it awhile I will get used to it. Thanks for the help.

So, I just can't do it. something is wrong. I started watching videos, and they all look normal. When they ruin, you can see the chars hands moving, I see no hands. When they hold a hatchet, you can see the whole hatchet, all I see is the wood handle and a touch of the blade. When they hold a gun, you see the gun propped in the characters hands, but all I see is the tip of the gun. So somehow, someway, I am extremely zoomed in. I knew I wasn't going crazy lol. I have no idea whats going on but perhaps its just the way triple screen looks with this game as it's not really optimized for it. I wish I could post the screenshots of what I'm seeing vrs what everyone else sees.

Is there a way to post screenshots here?
Maybe I'll make a new thread regarding triple screen.

Ok, so I think I figured it out. There's nothing that can be done on the user end. I set the mode to Windowed, and played with every single display setting. The game doesn't know how to change resolutions well. So instead of me running 7680x1440 I had to change to 12288x2160. Once there, I noticed as I changed the resolution from the lowest upwards, it zoomed in where the "eyes" are on your character. When I got to 4096x2160, the game looked normal, obviously only on the middle screen. As so as I went to the next resolution to start going into triple screen resolutions, the zoom of where the "eyes" are in the game got much worse, Until the point of 7680x1440 where you are so zoomed in you can't stand it. So somehow, the "eye" position zooms in every time you go higher in resolution. Hopefully someday they can fix this issue. Till then I guess I'm stuck in 4096x2160, but at least it doesn't deactivate Nvidia surround and shut the side monitors off.
