Water Buckets .. don't know where to find one ..

i'm trying to make one by crafting a workbench, but don't have wooden planks to finish it, and it doesn't seem to be a way of making wooden planks yourself, even using a stump ..

any help would be appreciated ?

getting dehydrated, was forced to jump two infected for their soda stash (hehe)
~none of the guides address this issue to my knowledge

to make planks you need to find a saw at first :) make sure that the saw is in your inventory then pick up some logs open your inventory and the option to make planks will be available :)

you can make buckets at the workshop as you said but check the car boots along the motel road and you will find some in the cars :)

i have two saws .. i don't see options to make planks .. i've looked in crafting as well ..

how do you put water in the purifier? i have a bucket full of water but it wont take it ??

nvm i had to take the full water bucket out of my hands, and into inventory then transfer it to the purerfier LOL

Put the bucket in the top slot then click the UP arrow till it says 10 litres the clickTAKE

NativeOne, you need to put your bucket of water in the slot and then with the arrows move the number up to the amount you have in the bucket to put in the purifier. Take note, that the purifier only holds 16 liters of water....so if you have 2 buckets full, the first bucket you need to roll number to 10liters and the 2nd bucket you need to only add 6 liters. Don't forget to remove your buckets when you are through, or you will do like me and forget where you left them LOL. Good luck.

put the bucket in the top slot of the purifier then next to it where it says 0 adjust the amount up untill you have the amount of water you want to put in the purifier and press give :)
to remove water put a clean water bottle (not glass bottle) into the bottom slot and click take :)

IMPORTANT do not mix up any containers you use for water only use the same buckets for dirty water all the time and the same bottles for clean water if you get them mixed up the water you have purified will turn bad :) (if you put clean water in a container thats had dirty water in)

It wasn't for nothing .. i plan on using that base for a while .. i'll build new when i move around
