Can someone tell me where to find a cog? or how to craft one?

There are a few scattered around the map as well. Not many spawn so look all around for them.

im on day 33 and the gear in the white house garage has respawned 3 times already. im not sure if this is supposed to happen but it did. so far ive thought that "floor items" have respawn every 10/11 days because the gear first respawn on day 11. then 21. then 31. (respective to 10 after i picked it up)

The large city in the NE of the map has at least 3 cogs. It also has lots of ammo, scrap, and components for the taking. Definitely worth a loot run.

On a related note, there's bandits up there as well. But they can be avoided if your cautious.
