Mist Survival

20 hours of gameplay and i am done?!
I jumped into the game as i saw some hyped Youtube Videos which somehow impressed me.

But where is the motivation to play any further? explored the world, loot is almost found and chests are emptied. without any tweaks the loot wont return. The chickens dont grow, the ressources are limited and all i can build up is a wall around my home.. driving the car any further is limited to the end of the ressources of parts. Killing bandits wont give me any needed further loot. so all i can do is stay alive for the reason of staying alive.. put up some traps or kill a bear and get some water... wow...

So i think when you got the game you missed that this is an Early Access Game. Which means they are not done with the game and they will be looking at fixing issues and adding stuff along the way.

well i got 1600 hours in DayZ, 2000 Hours in 7days2die, 500 hours in Subsistence.
I am used to have other experiences with Ea games..

Another inhabitant of the State of Vulgaria!

Any grown up here for a healthy discussion, what is to do to keep a long term motivation after a certain period in this game?

Same here, I will stop to play and back in 2 months. I hope they add content becuse by now is quite empty. This is 0.1 version but looks good by now.

Subsistence has less content, smaller map and less fun ...
Almost two years has the game ...

Jagermaster, what is it you would like to see? This game is super early in the EA process. Pretty sure the devs are open to ideas. I'm just starting the game after watching some Youtube videos. I feel like I can see a great game coming down the pipe. But I can totally see where your coming from. Growing hord numbers like 7d2d? Moving forward to a new area maybe? More advanced crafting? IDK, I'm just spitballing. BUt it seems like you have a fair bit of experience in survival games, You might be just the person to start throwing out valid suggestions to help make it a better game.

So you got 20hrs out a a game that is not even halfway done? Do you understand the true value of that game? Go look at how fast people are getting through Far Cry 5, a AAA tittle they paid 60+ for. Most of them got through it in 30-35hrs. That game is done there is no more surpriese. Where as this game has just begun to grow. Have patience and be thankful that already you got your $10 worth out of the game.

i can follow your intention, but i see it from another point of view. A survival game is never a casual game, it is a game played on the long run. So some points have to be thought untill the end. I have no problem with limited content, but i cannot play woth broken circles. and this game has a lot broken circles. for example the ressources, limited or not have to be aquireable. and they arent. so i guess more or less all of us will come to a point soon, where cars arent drivable, things arent buildable and this comes pretty soon.
Also the time system is not thought to the end. butchering a bear takes you 24 hours etc. the time system is imho stupid as the time runs allready accelerated.
And at the end it is not on me to fill a wishlist which at the end will never be looked at by the dev who has its own goals for this game. (and personally i wouldnt also do so as a dev) but i would follow my path. but i cannot see the path any further from this point i am at in the game now.
All i can do in "endgame" is to empty my traps and boil some water.. so please, where is the clue?

The dev is only one man. Give him some time, he has also hired some other guys to help him.

And he know‘s that the game needs more content. So please be patient

If you bothered to read the patch notes you'd know that starting from 0.2 an entirely new loot system will be implemented which will make resources mineable. At what point has your building process been limited by the resources ? I don't know how you were playing this game but I had built everything I wanted and still had some metal & components left. About cars, maybe try to drive more carefully ? I'm not talking out of my ass, I had my car parts going dead after a minute. But as soon as I started to pay attention to how I drive, I actually managed to to go through the entire map without breaking a single component. And some of them only had 5-10% durability left. Again, this game is in EA and will have plenty of stuff to offer at a later stage.
