Covering Windows with the Stock Fence

I as told this was possible in a youtube vid. is this possible? I try to do it but I cannot

Its trickty to get the placement right, but it can be done. I stand right in front of the window and walk back and forth looking for the spot.
You could probably just buld them 2 high outside the wall too.
I have water barrels outside under my exposed windows. ;)

currently testing another method of using the stock fence to block the top of the stairs to my cabin as the player can jump over them by putting the cursor on top of the fence and pressing jump you get a gate vault type jump then and that seems to work for the bandits as they cant jump so cant get near my door to break in yet :) but i'm still waiting for a mist event with infected near me to lure in and see if it stops them also,.. i've had 2 mist events and not 1 damn infected close enoug hto lure in lol

The first cabin i stayed in, i put lockers in front of the windows on the inside and it looked like they stop trying to come in through the windows.

be carefull with lockers in front windows if they smash through the boards they smash the lockers and you lose everything in them :)

I stand out side my window. move close enough so that the green outline is in the window frame, rotate as required and build.

^ Agree with this, IMHO a workbench on the outside of the window works best (I use a cabin and not the "white house").

Infected will not even try to attack the windows and just stand there dumbfounded.

Of course I do have a fence in the window and may actually replace the workbench with a livestock fence on the outside with another stacked on top of it. ;)

yeah i use a cabin too the dev wants you to use the whitehouse thats why he made it claimable thats just gonna be a big fat target lol i like my cabin back to the mountains all windows well above ground level and the wire fence straight across the front and stairs is stopping the bandits breaking in they just run up and down the fence you can hust snipe them from the windows just still had no infected to attack me there yet so still don't know if its gonna stop them if it does then i can leave my windows open so to speak :)

You using the cabin that is not too far from the Farmhouses and has the Bandit's base in between? Would think so since you mentioned it backs to the mountains...

ermmm go to motel if your facing the motel farm behind you turn left go up the road and about half way to the car workshop its on the right tooked back in the trees got a raised frontage 2 lots of stairs take a look they can only attack the front as the side are to high and if you fence straight across the deck at top of the stairs the bandits haven't gotton close to my front door or windows they climb the stairs hit the fence an go wierd or run back an forth taking pot shots at me inside lol
