How do you get water?

I have a cooking pot but have no idea how to find water, any ideas?

make water purifier, go to river,lake get water in plastic bottle or bucket, return to purifier, put in water and light fire. Wait for bottles to get ready.

Until fixed, the fastest and easiest method:

1) Get a Water Barrel
2) Get a Bucket (or more than one)
3) Carry Water Barrel near Lake/Pond
4) Equip Bucket(s)
5) Select "Fill" to quickly fill the bucket(s)
6) Fill the Barrel (Don't have to really fill it, but why not?)
7) Save and Exit to Menu
8) When you go back into the game the Water Barrel will now contain "Safe" Water
9) Bring the Water Barrel back to base and have tons of "Safe" Water (like 100 Liters)

P.S., I would not trust empty water bottles from Bandits they sometimes will make the water "Unsafe: when filled. Just use "known good" bottles. ;)

I didnt know that bug was there. Ill have to give that one a shot.

I like finding bugs and letting the Dev(s) know about them. So does that make a 3rd type? ;)

Thank you! Does anyone know if there is also a map? And how do i find NPCs?

theres only a map on steam , not ingame as yet
there only 3 npc to fnd , there alway at bandit camps in a locked room , clear out the camp but dont forget to take a lockpick or crowbar to open the door afterward , also a heads up , after i attacked the bandit camp thats when they would attack my camp , never didnt b4 this
