People build really crazy stuff with Legos.
Your opinion doesnt make any sence. You think that a bakery should hatch their own eggs, grow their own crops and produce their own milk. If they just buy the products and combine them into something new, in this case bread, you wouldnt respect their work either right?

I dont apply this opinion to everything, and by pointing the bought assets out I was just trying to start a conversation about how sketchy this game is. I was too lazy to write a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ essay about this game so I just linked those to start the conversation, but by this point I have typed more than an essay in responses to the same point, that being that the assets were bought. If you would like to scroll and see what I have already said about the dev, this games broken english description, and so on, please do. I am getting bored of responding to the same questions. Back to your question however ( Im sorry for boring you with my rambling thus far), this guy, from what I can tell, just bought a bunch of assets/models other people made and put them into a frankenstein like product he calls his own. Your baker comparison makes it look like I apply this thinking to all products, I dont. If someone straps a nerf rifle to a nerf machine gun and sells it as his own product, I think that is wrong. But if they design their own original gun, and have it made in a factory with materials they purchased, I think thats great, even if they didn't make the plastic themself.

There is nothing wrong with using assets in the game, especially for an indie developer. Most big games also use assets, they just retexture. Half Life, Volume, Pubg, those battle simulators, all made great use of bought assets. You seem to be equating using assets with being 'sketchy' and all i can think is that you have watched too many 'asset flipping' videos. If the game is good, who cares where the assets came from as long as the developers are not trying to take credit for it.
In fact, everything you have said or others have alluded to, used assets, frakenstein game, small team, poor performance, bugs. 100% describes PuBG in it's inception. 50 million copies later, not too many people care about pubg being 'sketchy'. A good game is a good game.

Agreed but this thread was probably started as a case of steam being over saturated with game devs like "Digitial Suicide" and what not where they buy crap, copy pasta everything, slap it together, and call it a so called "game".

IMO though, from what i've seen from this game specifically so far and from how this one plays. I'd say everythings nothing more then a placeholder which most likely will be changed considering that the guy that designed this is most likely going to have his own development company starting up from this.

You people! Have we all forgotten the massive amount of asset flipping where going on in Steam? He is right to be concerned and weary about it.

and he has the right to not buy the game based on that. He called it or at least inferred it was a bad game without knowing anything about it. That he does not have the right to do.

Bottom line is this. Mist is an great EA title with an active and involved dev. It has a ton of positive hype and people happy to play and promote it Don't be worried about the toxic opinion of some whiny, attention starved level 0 VAC banned account I took a morning dump with more personality and meaning than this pointless little halfman

oww look bought assets prolly a bad game
https://store.steampowered.com/app/450860/Andarilho/
there are a zillion games that use those assets, it don't mean they are bad

Gotta say, even if the developer walked way right now, sure I might be upset at what could have been, but at the end of the day I chose to spend the what...11 bucks on a game that you are clearly warned about being unfinished, It's not like you're getting blindsided. At the end of the day I suppose if he (The Developer) bails I'm out 11 bucks but still had some fun, and if he follows through and ends up with a decent game it'll be all the better. I get what you're saying OP, but the reviews look good, and the game plays well, wait and see man, maybe we'll get lucky. :)

As i said before, as active, involved, and as positive as the dev is for this title in addition to him being the only one currently. I don't really see him walking away from this, i kinda think this is going to be a 7D2D case where it was a couple people that wound up being able to form an entire development company strictly from a majorly popular indie title that caught everyone's attention like wildfire.

Generally it's the devs that don't care and are very bitter towards their community that are usually the asset flippers just making a buck off of scamming people using others work by smashing it all together in a pointless way.

The community is positive, the devs positive and active not only with community involvement but also with game development and bug / balance fixes, and it's a great game with major potential. No need to be toxic, it pays to have a broader view when looking at things from a whole picture standpoint before making assumptions based off of bits and pieces of what you think you may or may not know.

As far as i know, Mist survival have only 1 developer. Why should he create a new one? it a waste of time. Importantly, he BOUGHT a assets. Not stolen from the internet, buying is legal thing right?

And Dev answered ur question already. I don't know you care about it or not but I think he isn't care about this contradiction anyway.

About language, He isn't born in country that use official language is English. and sure, me too. Too many BROKEN english.
