I like the concept considiring the mist was one of my favourite movies growing up as a child.
Hopefully. I got it wishlisted at the moment. Game play looked promising.
The Mist is such a good book and movie, and it lends itself very well to video game form if you ask me. Shame no one has made a The Mist survival game yet...
Yes agreed, I guess Mist_Survival is more "Inspired by The Mist" than "based on The Mist"
So far i've only watched videos one it as I wait for it to go on sale. It seems to be a better zombie survival game than most others to say the least. Plus some are saying there's supposed to be more enemies,so maybe there will be more exciting monsters along the way. Then there are bandits of course as well.
The main thing I don't like about the game so far from what i've watched is how ai just open doors and leave them open like how Preston from Fallout 4 does. I always hated when he would open a gate and just leave it open and go about opening every single door in the settlement.
In many games, such as Project Zomboid or 7dtd the zeds are more powerful or hunting in night time. I would guess the dev wanted to break this rule by adding an effect, which allows more dangerous zombies to appear any time of the day, and this mystic mist happens to be the perfect element for it.

“Actually, survival games are my favorite genre and I’ve played a lot of them. I’m very fond of The Long Dark because it’s more compelling and serious than most games I’ve played in the past. I’m also a big fan of zombie movies and games. So, I wanted to make a game that combined those elements into one experience that combined the challenges of survival and the threat of zombies.
As I wanted it to be scary, I first tried to find some gimmicks like sandstorms or eclipses. But in the end, I have chosen mist (which was inspired by the movie The Mist).”
