Build a workbench and use it to make a bucket. Build a campfire and a pot (or distillery) to boil the water.

Are there specific bottles you can fill? I have the green alcohol bottles but can’t seem to fill them even though it says I can.

green bottle are only used in mooshine.

you can drink blue/white bottle

you can craft a bucket then fill up with water with v.

i just poured water into the cooking pot but does do a thing to the water, how do i get safe water?

Take your empty 2 liter water bottles to a lake and fill them there. To make them safe, you can build a water distillary. Fill the distillary (I like to fill it full 16 liters) and then let it run for 6 hours. Then collect your safe water and store it in a water barrel -- which holds up to 100 liters. This process will give you a bunch of new water bottles (magic). If you wanted to, I suppose you could drag a water barrel down to the lake, fill it via water bottles, and then move it back.

The Moonshiner works without Water too.Only Sugar and 2 green Bottles.

How are you able to even build a campfire or distillery? I watched someone play on youtube, and they seemed to have access to that all, but when I upgrade my workbench to level 2 the most complex thing I can make is a small animal trap. I have no way to make a tanning rack, distillery, water purifier, stump, cooking fire- NONE OF THAT... :( What am I doing wrong? Without that tanning rack I can not dry any bears that I kill. - Oh yeah, no generator or water collection system either, if I can not find it I can not use it.
