Lighting fire?

For some reason I cant seem to light a fire. Tried a campfire and a fire barrel. Added matches, tree bark as tinder and firewood as fuel. Even with 8 firewood in, it still says 0% fuel and the quick fuel add doesnt work. What am I doing wrong?

I don't why your fire is saying 0% fuel if you're adding "fire wood". I believe you can also use the "wood scraps" you can pick up all over the place. It doesn't last as long though. Maybe give that a try? I will say the fire doesn't always start first time for me, it says below the little log icon, "60% Chance". I sometimes have to try 3 or 4 times to light the fire.
Another thing you could try, if you have any, is a small amount of "Bio fuel" in the "Accelerator" slot. That may be worth a shot.

As for the "Q" quick fuel add, that is used when the fire is burning, and you need to add more "fire wood"

Got it, thanks guys! Used biofuel as an accelerant and it worked. Seems the RNG wasnt working in my favour. Once the fire was lit, the fuel ammount showed up, I was expecting it to register fuel when unlit but must just be a bug that needs squished!

You can use the biofuel without fear of wasting it. How to obtain biofuel (spoiler):

Refine animal fat with the cooking pot over the fire.

You know something similar is happening to me now. except it is saying not enough accelerant. I have the lighter fluid tins and one only has .02L and I have one that has .18L there is another one that has .13L in the campfire. I swear that I had like .08L last time and it lit fine. This all of a sudden started happening. I Have tried restarting the game which was a pain cause of the long wait times, I tried verifying the install files on Steam, and neither of them did anything to fix the issue.

I don't have BioFeul so there is no way for me to try using that.
