Can't add / remove items to or from inventory.

I have a few problems all related to each other. I can hover over items in my inventory, right click and move them around. But I don't know what button to click to place the item into ( hot bar, locker, cars inventory ) also I don't know how to eat or drink. I'm new to keyboard and mouse so I'm kinda lost. Any help would be appreciated!

I placed items into my hot bar, lockers, and the car trunk by dragging and dropping. I couldn’t figure out any other way. As to eating and drinking, when you right click a food or beverage item, you should see a drop down bow that says “eat” or “drink” that you can then click on.

its all drag and drop hold with left mouse drag to where you want it and release the button as Lucan Orion said you eat food by right clicking with mouse on item then select eat or drink from the drop down menu :)....

you say you are new to keyboard and mouse? so if you prefer controller to play then you could try my guide here untill controller support is officially added :)

It says xbox but the the method is the same for all controllers just select your controller in step 1 and you may have to configure your own keys in step 4 as i can only confirm the configuration file i provide in the guide works correctly with xbox controllers :) (i don't have any other controllers to test with) :)

Thanks , but neither is working for me. The item just stick to my mouse and when right click a drink it just sticks to my mouse I don't know what's up with it

if you are not using your controller unplug it having them plugged in at the moment when not using Big Picture Mode causes a conflict between the game and controller and all sorts of weird things happen lol :)

Yeah thanks again I'm able to do everything now. I got one last Question . Do gas can spawn in cars? I am at the big white house that everyone seem to use as a base. I have a car fixed and set to go but no gas. Do you guys know of a spawn location near here?

gas cans don't spawn in cars no sorry :(
gas spawns are in the cars themselves under the bonnet(hood) :)

where the big farm is there is a can that spawns right at the north end of the field in a broken down shack the car outside the shack usually has a few litres in it :) once you have taken the fuel out of a car that is it :( it won't spawn back i'm afraid so the best advice i can give is don't use any of the car fuel in the generator because if you run out then you're going to be walking lol :)

For the generator you can make bio-fuel from boiling down the fats from animals using the cooking pot over a fire :) at this time bio-fuel can't be used in the cars.

oh almost forgot lol there is another gas can spawn behind a caravan thats just off the main road that runs in front of the motel :) if you face the motel then turn left up the road you go past a cabin then a workshop that has an engine in keep going and the road bends to the left a bit if you look to the right there's a caravan amongst the tree's like a small camp, the gas can should be behind it :) i think there's a battery there aswell on a table :)

Thanks I'm going to check that location out when I play again. I got the tires battery and engine from the shop so I'm not far from where you're talking about.
