Boiling Water, in the pot over the fire..

HI, And a super Thumbs Up for the New Update.. After 400 hrs on the Old version I was getting stale But now I am starting a complete new game and it is a super challenge.. With everything being so scarce and so many new parts to the Map and Building Positions I am struggling.. I need a bit of help with the Question "Can I Boil water in the cooking Pot that sits over the Fire as I have been very lost at finding a Water Purifier.. And Materials are now even Harder to come by.. THANKS for thew Game.. Top Job..

No you cannot boil water in the cooking pot. Make yourself a water purifier, is not that hard. You'll have to go out and loot some metal scraps, components and tools. Take the workbech from gas station if you need to craft buckets.

I crafted my first water purifier, then the next day I found 2 of them at the cabin in the newly added forest area across the road from the gas station, up behind the motel. Follow the dirt road leading north from the gas station and it's east of the first campers site.

It was not the Materials It was hard to find a Hammer or an axe.. found 3 saws, 2 shovels but that was it.. straight after I put this up I was lucky enough to find a heap of tools and Guns But very little ammo.. I have played heaps of These games and this would be the hardest of them all.. I think it is the Best of them all and with a few more improvements it will be a ripper.. Thanks for your replies..

All ok now, Made a bow n arrows and killed all the Bandits in a camp, 13 of them. found heaps of gear but running in and out of the camp with stuff They respawned and I didn't see them.. Very quickly died.. Lucky they don't pick up their gear.. So got most of it back..

I more surprised when there is no boiled potato recipe or grilled potato recipe

I have been playing for quiet a while almost 500 hrs and the Main Updates where a restart for the game has occured.. This new restart I have found to be absolutely Red Hot, But the time the Food spoils in is far to quick and your weapons seem to break so quickly now.. Must Hope the DEV sees this and hit them up a bit. An Axe will chop down a dozen trees and then shatter.. It seems that half my time is spent cooking and making things. But all up a fantastic game.

I cooked grilled potatoes with putting them on the grill stand, but careful, they cook very fast.

After big update(0.3), very few people chop trees by themselve because you can ask Scott to cut down trees for you. The axe you gave him doesn't lose durability too. (It's a bug, but good one lol). You can also ask you girls, Kate and Rachel to craft on workbench, saw wood on saw machine, or cutting fire wood, etc. for you. Scott can do the jobs too, but he's the only one who can cut trees, so better keep him cutting trees. If you play the game before I think you know how to craft dried meat that last very long. (ignore the refrigerator, not worth to spending biofuel to running it.) By the way, tons of can food from loots are still too much for me, barely run out of locker space to keep them.
