You need to make a sledgehammer and use that to bash those cars.
Crowbars are used to break locked doors(locked rooms) or locked lockers. You cannot break into tinted cars to get loots inside. You can only break the whole cars with axes or sledge hammers. You usaully get components and metal scraps, sometimes you get car parts like batteries, etc.

Axes are far more economical for salvaging the tinted cars. In ~4 trips to the mine to get iron (including multiple save/reloads per trip), I have a total of ~3 iron ingots. By comparison, I have entire lockers full of the other materials. Stick with axes for now until things are balanced.

You don't need to hit all of the ore nodes in mine to force respawn. Hit only iron nodes to get iron ores. Then save and reload. Build a furnace in mine to melt ores to ingots. That's way save a lot of time, energy and inventory space. Just a trip at the mine, I went there and stayed overnight and back home late morning. I can craft 2 hammers, 1 american eagle, and still have more than 20 iron ingots left.

Too much wasted time saving/reloading IMO. I'd rather be playing the rest of the game than twerking unfinished mechanics. But that's me. ;)

Right? The save/reload just doesn't work for me like others have posted... I don't get cars spawning back much let alone other items to demolish.

No offense or anything, I just let him know the easier way to get iron. I play the game on my potato laptop and it doesn't take long to reload. I'm not sure about cars respawn tricks since I don't need that much components or metals. It respawns in a few days anyway.

However, the respawn ores still work. Just make the point that you don't need to hit every single ore node in mine to force respawn all the ore nodes. It's in EA, still have bugs and many things to develop and change, give advantage/disadvantage effects to players. It's like I try many ways to play the game. Sometimes, weird, funny or failed, like I tried to build a house on top of my truck to make it like RV. When I started driving, my car crashed and got stuck under the house lol

no offense taken :lunar2019coolpig:

Just agreeing about the time wasted feeling with the save/reload trick people do... I don't get much time to play games like I used to so less time to play is less enjoyment after a day's work and commute coming home lol
