Might I recommend crafting a bed to sleep in?

I found that your character sleeps better in a bed with less interruption vs sleeping bag or simply sleeping on the ground/floor... even for a regular cabin like the one near the autoshop on the west side of the map.

Once you get woken up... simply go back to sleep and ignore the infected Z's. You can always use an hour or two during the evening to kill and farm infected while using a couple hours during the day to sleep.
safe places where they wont spawn into are the ones where a 'home base' can be set ..
some players complain about infected spawning in the 'white house', but choose to build towers there, and go to sleep in them, then complain about infected spawning inside the white house's protection gates they built ..
forgetting that the infected spawn within 50 feet of their position ..
regardless if they (the survivor) are inside the base perimeter .. if they are up in the tower, the infected will spawn around the house inside the perimeter, because they are 'above it' ..
~little things like this matters
