if i put lockers in the truck will they fall out?
I have 6 of the red lockers in the back of my truck and there is still room to stack some of those small wooden crates at the back of the truck bed and still close the tailgate. Don't put stuff on the open tailgate or your truck will start to float.
1) Setting up another base / in need of a lot wood (Scott)
2) Crafting a lot / all non-personal crafts do work here , ammo is a heavy time invested craft, but only the cartridges and the final bullets work for the NPC survivors (Assign to NPC option)
My personal experience with NPCs is that I did not like how the open the big gate to walk around.
So I've started another base next to a lake to check on farming.
Which (IMHO !) isn't worth doing at this point of the development.
(chickens not reproducing / for feathers, arrow crafting, too much on daily watering needed etc.
...)
However if you build your base on the wooden platform level without an outer wall, just ladders down from a ring of platforms and a cabin/house in the middle,
That does help tons with the NPCs not opening gates.
I've added another small hut on top of my (elevated) cabin to have some piece of mind for sleep times. Rarely getting interrupted for the 6-8 hours nightly sleep when sleeping some 30 feet above ground.
Hope this helps
Have fun
For endless water supplies I'm doing well with a single Distillery next to a 2nd base at a lake side.
With a small chest holding matches, firewood and tree bark.
And 2 buckets on the floor.
It is in range of the Motel/Gas station and the long wide slope downhill to the lake which is easy to kill snipe the bear every 3 days or such.
He can eat 2 sniper bullets and then submerge into the lake so the kill can be wasted if you're not shooting him quickly.
But that's as far as I got it for endless water/food supplies.
Save/Continue (reload) for the nightly creeps adds to extra food supplies anytime, but after Day 100 I hardly ever done that.
Dried meat can last you a long time on multiple racks.
