Purchase as a gift.

Since this forum is empty, why not publish a pet peeve of mine about this Purchase as a gift option. As an example, the consumer has a couple of items out of the 30 piece bundle yet the bundle cannot be purchased for their account. The bundle is purchasable only as a gift.

The purchaser is a consumer of the publisher's products yet cannot take advantage of the discounted bundle. They should pay more says the publisher.

Purchase as gift allows the consumer to create another account and purchase the heavily discounted bundle for an alternate account. Completely annoying and is more likely to turn off the consumer from the publishers products.

This, while not with this publisher has happened to me where I came to the point and just said screw it. The bundle is available to consumers who don't own any game in the bundle but I as a purveyor of the publisher pay more. I don't buy products from these publshers.
