Kid-friendly?
I'm considering this game as something to play with my 5-year-old along for the ride. The cosmic horror will go over his head, and I'm fine with the occult themes and such. I didn't see anything in the trailer video that would be a problem. But I'm wondering if there are scenes that feature gore or body-horror imagery. Any advice from people who've finished the game?

Hi there! Our official IARC ratings are:

PEGI 7 (Mild violence, fear)
ESRB 10+ (Crude humor, mild language, mild violence, use of alcohol and tobacco).

There is no gore or blood, very little actual violence (most of it is cartoony); there's some alcohol and tobacco use, and the most offensive word used is "damn" and variations of it.

Hope this helps make up your mind :)

Would not let any kid near this game, it's full of occult/satanic imagery. Should be a huge warning flag

It has less occult imagery and is way lighter in tone than the Harry Potter books and movies. But you don't have to take our word for it, these are our IARC ratings:

EU: Pegi 7
US: ESRB 10+

I'm not going to link to our US and EU Nintendo switch pages because we're on Steam, but you can check for yourself with a simple google search.

This legit made me laugh. It would suck to have a parent like you.

Anyway, this game is fine to play with a kid. A 5 year old wont understand whats going on in it anyway.

I'm with you here. Nothing to fear except if author of first quoted post is one of wannabe Christians with self esteem issues. All "horrors" are definitely cartoonish. 5-yr old will not understand them. 8+ yr old will laugh about that.
I have a 4 yo granddaughter and was thinking about playing with her. So far I'm about halfway through and I haven't seen anything which would be a problem. She certainly wouldnt get the"satanic" part, and the overall game is more cartoony. The only thing why I didn't do it, is because its a bit boring for her. The interaction with the cat is minimal and most of the fun are the dialogs, which she cant follow anyway. For the graphics its fun for a few minutes to watch but there is not much pace to keep her attention.
With my older daughter, when she was at age of 6 or so, I often played hidden object with her, which is more interesting from the interaction point of view.

This doesn't mean that I don't like this game, because I do. I just dont think it would be a lot of fun for very young kids.
