What does the small/squeezed eye symbol mean?

On some objects when you click on them you dont get the wide round eye icon, but rather a sort of squeezed/strained eye icon. im assuming this mean ssomething? i figured you have to zoom in on the object via right click, but nothing happens. what does that icon indicate?

As you noticed, the character can make multiple comments about the same thing.

When you see that closed eye symbol on an object, it simply means you fully examined it!
