Switching direction for model train

So I just bought the game today and have gone through a few stations. Then I discovered the model train! However, it keeps derailing as one of the early switches is set the "wrong" way. I'm sure this has been asked plenty of times, and/or I'm just missing something obvious, but I can't seem to find a way to switch the direction. Is there a way?

While the train is not near a junction, put the mouse cursor near the junction. You will find somewhere you can click that changes the switch. It is not an easy obvious way to do it, you need to experiment a little.

Thank you so much! Yeah there wasn't much obvious about it. Even after I knew what to do I'd still spend minutes trying to find the trigger point for certain junctions. I wonder why the trigger point has not been put on the arrow itself

This has also been frustrating for me. It's silly to have to randomly click near a junction, and sometimes not even near it (mountain top anyone?) just to move a junction.

Yeah some are horrible. I remember there were a couple I was just never able to find at all despite trying for ages
