The station is way too huge, and I spend most of the time running from one end to another. Now, if that huge station had trash and dirt ANYWHERE, I'd be a lot more happy! Cleaning and fixing up is my favourite part of any renovation game.
Placing furniture would be a lot more enjoyable for me, if they would snap to a grid, or they gave us a grid on the floor (or anywhere...?) so I could actually place those 20-something benches (or how many the tasks call for) lined up properly.
I've played through the game a few times, and as fun as it is, I don't have any urge to continue with a save after I'm done, or constantly start new ones. To me its just lacking a lot of options, decoration and furniture wise, because all my stations end up looking the same, using the same furniture.
My favorite moments of this game are throwing trash over the ski hill, and fixing the passenger cars from the inside. It would have been nice if you could upgrade your throwing strength and build up speed.
Towards the end of the game I switched gears in my head. When it came to placing furniture I threw it all in a pile with the mentality of "The workers will place it where they need it" lol
The game shines for people who like making things clean and neat. It can even be fun to replace the faulty parts of the trains. I would happily buy DLC with graffiti, rubbish, overgrown plants, etc..
But House Flipper exists, and it's much better than this game for selecting and placing furniture. Contriwise, House Flipper includes tasks of cleaning and repairing crumbling walls, but Train Station Renovation does that better.
We respect all of our players and we know that part of them prefer the cleaning part of the game. However, we are also aware that there is a big part of players who like to decorate the station and make them look as they prefer. We wanted to cover all needs and preferences and while we understand why you didn't quite like the last station what we could say at the moment is that we're taking your feedback to the heart and we're sure to improve in any future endeavours related (but not only) to Train Station Renovation.
Thank you!
I love starting new saves from time to time, when I've finished the one I've worked on. And I'm always dreading the large stations, especially with placing benches when they are free-standing, and not against walls. It would help a lot if a grid of some sort could be implemented (maybe a toggle of sorts?). I'm so systematic and thorough when renovating, then the end result is uneven rows of benches o.o
Still love the game though, was so thrilled when the full release finally worked XD Hoping you guys will add on to it once in a while :)
As I said and always say about our games - we always are on the lookout for more feedback so I appreciate all comments - negative, positive or even neutral. As long as it gives us something to think about it's good to voice it! :)
I took the advice of YukoValis and PeskyTheTroll, and lumped all the stuff together without organizing it. It went something like this:
Railroad management: ....we also want you to get all the furniture, machines and utilities and set it all up properly.
Me: No U
Must say, I'm not dreading the next time as much now :D
Appreciate sharing your opinion with us! Always happy to learn more about our players :)!
