Temporary Solution for game crashes

Hello there!

As you might already know we are hard at work to ensure that a fix for the crashing issue is developed as soon as possible. As we have noticed that many of you sadly still experience crashes during your gameplay we started to think about some other quicker (and temporary solution) that might help with the game and allow you to play it.

As such we have made a previous update version of the game available in Steam for you - this version, as we tested, has helped with many of the crashes that you might encounter. While it's not the designated version of the game that we would like you to use it is still a stable version for many of you and can serve as a time filler for the time required for us to find a solution for the main issue.

Before you try using the previous patch please try these steps as some of them might fix the issue for you:

1). Go to Steam Library -> Right click on Train Station Renovation -> Select Properties -> Select Local Files -> Select "Verify Integrity of Game Files..."
2). Update drivers for your graphic card

In order to use that particular version of the game you need to:
1. Go to your Steam library.
2. Right click on the Train Station Renovation
3. Select Properties
4. Select Betas
5. From the drop down menu select "Previous update".
6. Update the game.

Voila, you're now on the previous patch of the game. While we cannot ensure that this solution will help all of you we believe that many of you who were unable to play the game might find this solution working.

Once again we apologize for the inconvenience and we hope to remedy the issue as soon as possible.

So I followed this - played the game from the start again, and now my saved game is gone again, I had one level left to complete. I have yet to be able to play the update even. Getting frustrated.

Just discovered your big update that was suppose to fix all the game crashes, mine is still crashing when I start a new game. Please advise. I also messaged on Discord

Thank you for the report and I'm really sorry to hear that the crashes are still on-going. We were able to fix all the issues we found out however it is possible that something new has came up and warrants further investigation. We will, of course, check what is happening with the game and hopefully prepare a hotfix for remaining issues. Sorry for the problem and thank you for your understanding.

The game crashed for me 3 times on the level with the plunger and a key in the toilet after i spammed left click while picking up the plunger after getting the key. clicking once and putting it back in the van prevented further crashes.

Was able to complete Gemtown for the first time at 100% after doing this, but I didn't get the steam achievement. Does using the previous patch disable them?

you need to enter the train room once before achievements work, its right of the laptop when you launch the game.

We are aware of the issue with the achievements and are actively working on them to make sure they work properly. However do try using the workaround provided by Hugo - it might help with the problem - be sure to play with the train model though!

For me the game freezes quite often, but eventually recovers itself after a brief time period (up to a several minutes). :)

Sorry to hear that! Did you try verifying the game files integrity on Steam? It might help with this particular issue.

This game reboots my computer every time I try to open it. This is after the latest update was automatically installed when I tried to open the game. Please help!

Hello! If the game causes your computer to crash I have a suspicion that you might have some unwanted software on your computer that causes so. It wouldn't hurt to make sure that there are no viruses on your PC. Additionally I suggest verifying the game files integrity on Steam - it might help with the problem.

Could you also let me know what is your PC specification?

Hello, I haven't talked to you for a while and when I tried reinstalling the game, It still did the thing.
