Broken box cutter?

what's up with this item? why's it say "(broken)" does this imply it can be fixed? if so is there a way to that anyone's figured out?

From looking at the latest patch notes the box cutter was added with the latest patch. If it's broken I guess you'll also have to find a replacement blade. No mention about it on the wiki as of now.

There's a version of the box cutter that's not broken, but if you use it as a weapon enough times it becomes broken. Evidently, you can also find "pre-broken" box cutters as well.

Man, I've been looking for an unbroken box cutter forever! Where do get it?

The same way you get the broken one, but you need to have an achievement first? I forget which one though.

You need the Kick-box cutter achievement, which you get by dealing 10 damage in a single kick

That's what I thought at first, but I only managed to get to 9 damage per kick with him after several attempts, and even that was tough to do. I managed it pretty easily with Ayaka, by taking her blood mania perk, the curious birthmark backstory and choosing Ithotu as the old god. Though the old god choice and curious birthmark are absolutely overkill, I got to I think 13 or 14 damage per kick by the end of my run, as I only cured 2 curses. Just try to avoid curing curses if you can avoid it, and take 3 from the witch's tree

Yeah, Ayaka is the other good character to do that, lol.

There are an achievement named STEEL BOX, and the description is ''break the blade''. It's, maybe, about the box cutter. And also, we can found the broken box cutter after defeating the young witch (with the oni mask)
