I mean, it's pretty clear the game was rushed out of EA with basic placeholder/rough-draft content in key places, so it could technically be called a 1.0 release. It still plays very much like an EA title.
Again, it's a side project for the dev & for whatever reason his interest & effort really tailed off in the latter stages of development. There's not really any disputing that. It would have been nice for him to be transparent to players & longtime project backers about this.
That's right folks. You are not allowed to talk about a game being incomplete. How dare we hold people responsible for a product we paid for. If there is any issue with the game whatsoever, you should ignore it if you are a real fan.
It's attitudes like this that are why we are seeing a reduction in the quality of games (and buggy releases). For example, Bethesda realizes it can continue to release half finished products that someone else will mod for them. I am sure these companies love all the people that will defend any level of poor design because fanboy spend money.
Here is a simple thought for some of our logically challenged friends: you can enjoy the game while simultaneously pointing out issues with how the development went.

Trust, me, the ones sounding "stupid" are the people that act like people have no place to criticize the game (and make ridiculous points to defend it).
Nobody said this game had a triple A budget. Still, the whole point of early access is that people pay in advance to support a developer as they work on a project. And I hate to break it to you, he is a developer since he is the one making the game.
Here are three major problems people have with the game:
First, the dev used to post almost daily on his X feed to keep up hype. At one point he dropped off the earth and had no contact with anyone for almost a year. Had he given people an update (or at least explained he was going on break for a while), people would give him a lot more slack.
Second, the game was released with a higher price tag while still being incomplete. There is a noticeable amount of content that has been around since 2021 that never got fixed/updated.
Third, the dev could have outsourced the work to another developer or made the mod tools enough so that fans could finish the game for him. Instead they have disappeared again now that 1.0 is out.
One can like this game but point out some of the major issues with it. This isn't rocket science.
To be fair, that's how they've operated for 30 years. They know their fanbase is stupid enough to do their jobs for them. I don't know where this generation's idea of product loyalty came from though. I mean, when we were younger, products actually.. Improved or had fan clubs for loyal customers. These new companies will piss in your mouth and call it a free sample.
