There are vague implications that Juri's entire family line is cursed so that they all live on borrowed time. The achievement title for being possessed calls the entity the "real" one, though, so it's possible that Juri is something like a changeling and the spirit of the child she was swapped with is out for vengeance; its experiences in the spirit world/land of the fae have left it too broken to mentally or physically grow anymore after it's had its revenge, so it dumbly adopts Juri's goals anyways.
