What really bad about 1.0

is some of new ingame artwork. kinda dissapointed in a game now becoz of it's quality

The portrait is the same, but the character art in the main panel is really awful. Mizuki is switched from what I saw, her new portrait is terrible but the main panel is the original.

The obvious meeting with Junji Ito has been turned into some weird mustached dude.

They better not have butchered Mimi.

I don’t care about what is better minor changes in portraits between release and previous versions. But… All red? I think even virtual boy fans would say that hurts the eyes. You legit can not be trusted with aesthetic sense of what is good or not, lol.

Well, you can't really expect super high quality art out of guy who's already doing music, programming, art, all by himself while working as a dentist. maybe he tried to rush it because of people complaining

The art that was already present in the game was just fine. It was needlessly changed in the 1.0 update to the new art you see now. That same character used to look like this:

And? How come that he was still a dentist during the entirety of EA and the artwork/designs he would make were much better than what we got in 1.0? In fact, why replace what wasn't broken in the first place.

the horrible portraits is quite odd. Surely he knows this too. What was wrong with the old ones? Surely he has static images he could have just copy pasted into the new version? Its like he had some intern do this for him or something, but again, why even did he feel the need to change them?

try double clicking mizuki on the character select screen. as of now there's no way to fix Aiko's god awful "at home" art yet, but maybe in an update ... *fingers crossed*.
