Advice for completing Mimi's Little Project
Title says it all. I'm struggling with Mimi's Little Project, I feel like half the time either RNG shoots me in the foot, or her 'experiments' will just cause my inevitable snowballing. Is there any way to make the challenge a little easier without cheating?

Unironically pray to RNGesus to take mercy on your soul

General Advice for Challenges: make sure you have Far Out Fear Festival and avoid Violent Vigil, Crimson Cape, and Peculiar Painting on your playthrough. Fear Festival comes in handy late game because you can just spam the Inn until the last night to regain Stamina/Reason without a Doom penalty.

Otherwise, here's a recommended order that might help: (1) Eye (2) Brain (3) Kneecap (4) Arm (5) Toes

My personal approach was to reroll mysteries until I got Abnormal Arms and Evolving Eels. Arms because it's the most harmless in my experience, and Eels for Kana - see below.
Like on any other run, I made sure to buy a compass ASAP.
Most of my levels were spent "fixing" my combat stats, I just accepted all but DEX/KNW as lost causes.

My order of experiments was:
- heart; it has the smallest long-term impact. I did Evolving Eels for this because I knew it was going to be a major REA hit, but would also make long-term survival easier.
- brain; by this point Eels gave me my first level so it was only -1 KNW and the Kana/Brain combo would allow me to take -2 damage from all enemies for the rest of the run.
- kidney; since I never took more than one or two STA damage at a time, the -max STA wasn't much of a concern.
- eyes; I got an unlucky +20 PWR old god event so my hit chance was gonna be dead anyway.
- toes; by now it was one single injury and that barely qualifies as a challenge.

I actually did have Crimson Cape, but deliberately got Ending B to fight the weaker Aka Manto.

Also, don't be me, bring a light source to the lighthouse just in case. I finished at a single point of Reason.

I know any and all of these things may go differently/wrong for you, but "no plan survives contact with the enemy."

Roll as many non-boss mysteries as you can; also I found taking the -2 KNW -1 damage received comes in clutch if you take it first. Allows you to actually take on monsters the first couple mysteries which helps you level faster.
Arms & Scissors helps, so does eels but trying to get all 3 is a lot of re-rolls. Arms first for tiny key, go to scissors and get rifle & bat from locker. Don't make the correct sign with the chalk so you fight the scissor woman horror. I think it's 2 shots with the rifle to kill, if you can't get a kill with the 2nd shot round 2 throwing the bat & scalpel should get it for you. You should be able to breeze through combat encounters for the rest of the run after you get the cursed scissors.

After trying almost everything pointed in this thread i went with the most fast solution. speedrun the ♥♥♥♥ out of it LOL. i rerolled events till i had the fastest ones with no boses. sold the library notes instantly, got another fund from the dressing room and first thing i bought a compas and just went as fast as ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ possible and i reached the end with 83% doom
Thanks for all the advice. I didn't follow any single one to the letter, but i kept what all of you said in mind. I beat it on my third try.

Thank you! Yes, I now have all the achievements unlocked. Toshi's took me more tries, tbh...
