Otherwise, here's a recommended order that might help: (1) Eye (2) Brain (3) Kneecap (4) Arm (5) Toes
Like on any other run, I made sure to buy a compass ASAP.
Most of my levels were spent "fixing" my combat stats, I just accepted all but DEX/KNW as lost causes.
My order of experiments was:
- heart; it has the smallest long-term impact. I did Evolving Eels for this because I knew it was going to be a major REA hit, but would also make long-term survival easier.
- brain; by this point Eels gave me my first level so it was only -1 KNW and the Kana/Brain combo would allow me to take -2 damage from all enemies for the rest of the run.
- kidney; since I never took more than one or two STA damage at a time, the -max STA wasn't much of a concern.
- eyes; I got an unlucky +20 PWR old god event so my hit chance was gonna be dead anyway.
- toes; by now it was one single injury and that barely qualifies as a challenge.
I actually did have Crimson Cape, but deliberately got Ending B to fight the weaker Aka Manto.
Also, don't be me, bring a light source to the lighthouse just in case. I finished at a single point of Reason.
I know any and all of these things may go differently/wrong for you, but "no plan survives contact with the enemy."
