When Halloween comes and goes without an update or even a word from the developer, I will be sad that the game I paid for assuming it would be completed is still left just as it was.

I will however, be happy that the white knights for this game will be seething and still in denial.

Jesus the point of making another discussion like this really goes beyond my understanding; it's actually gonna be fun when the dev eventually releases an update and all these pointless discussions can finally stop they're beyond pathetic, "the gam3 I pa1d 4!!"!" wow man what a tragic story you got quite a great game for 15 quids oh the horror

I mean it did happen before, and the game it's more of a passion project than a "money maker", hence why the whole idea "he ran with the money" is not really likely, but of course you're entitled to your opinion, I just don't see the point of making new topics about it.

"The game is more of a passion project than a game that should be up for sale with the promise that it'll be a complete product at some point", so then give it away for free or finish the project. Steam isn't a charity.

Customers buy the game to help out, assuming a finished product in the future.
Developer keeps in touch letting customers know how things are going.

Customers who bought in early get the finished product.

There we go, so that's how Early Access is supposed to work.
Here's where this game differs:

Please take me to my posts: the one making posts are you, and actually there's quite a lot of them, what's the point of making a post saying "game is dead"? If it is then it will never be updated again, you making posts about it is just pointless, just as it is saying "game is well and alive", there's really no difference but I deffo don't go to steam making a new topic every now and then about the supposed status of the game.. you do that.

Even in your breakdown, it just doesn't make sense for the developer to "run with the money", because there really isn't that much money to run with, being the game niche at best.
Again, I also despise the developer's behaviour, I said that plentiful of times but I guess memory tends to be short, I'm not in "denial" (LOL) of anything it's not like this is my game or my friend's game or something, it's just pathetic to keep pestering the forum with "game dead" like what do you get out of it? It makes you happy or something? I just take the piss of the stupidity of this stance, if you weren't making the topics there wouldn't be the comments but I'm far from proactive or invested, while there's like a squadron of people that for unknown reasons make topics that are completely pointless over and over, like what was the drive behind this post?

Eh, honestly this isn't really the longest the game has gone without an update. I'll concede that I'm frustrated that the dev isn't saying anything and that updates are so infrequent, but I've seen people saying the game is dead since before the Endless Summer update.

Is it possible that the dev just decided to abandon the game? Could be. It's also possible that he hasn't. Honestly, I'm just gonna wait and see.

You got evidence otherwise? Current trends lead to future events. A solid year without any word or updates, another month is nothing. Neither will November show anything. Nor will December. 2022? Maybe. Very big maybe. Don't hold your breath.
